Saddle tagging

Saddle tags are electronically read by police in the UK and Eire.

Saddle tags are a tiny electronic device which is inserted into the saddle and has been pre-programmed with one of over 550 billion possible ID codes. There are over 3500 scanners in use by the police in the UK and Eire. Your saddle will be identifiable as yours at all times.

Once inserted, the tiny 11.5 mm x 2.12 mm tag is extremely difficult for a thief to locate and remove.
